The Rob Kling Center for Social Informatics is pleased to announce the Rob Kling Social Informatics Fellowship. This fellowship of $7,500 for the academic year 2023-2024 will be used to support a doctoral student who is pursuing research in Social Informatics and interested in conducting critical studies on the impact and consequences of computerization, the Internet, or digital media on individuals, organizations, or society. The winner of this year’s fellowship will be announced in March 2024. This award may be renewable for a second year.
Email your completed application to Pnina Fichman fichman@indiana.edu by February 1, 2024. The Rob Kling Social Informatics Fellowship Committee will consider only complete applications. Preference will be given to students who have advanced to candidacy, although all doctoral students at Indiana University, Bloomington are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must complete the application form, submit a brief statement (up to four pages) describing their research related to social inofrmatics, and attach a copy of their transcript, a CV, and two letters of reference. In order to qualify, applicants must have submitted the FAFSA and have demonstrated a financial need.
